T & C Engineer - (1500008P)
Job Purpose:
To carry out certification activities in line with project requirements. Ensure that all necessary assurance records are identified and retained in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensures compliance with Employer’s requirements
• Carries out the project specific certification activities as detailed in the Project Quality Plan and as directed and instructed by the Systems Engineering Director
• Familiarizes with requisition requirements and equipment/material specifications
• Familiarizes with the verification and inspection release processes and ensure their compliance
• Participates (as necessary) in management visits/audits to Suppliers and Sub-contractors
• Reports promptly to the System Engineering Director all matters related to certification
• Familiarizes with project document handover process
• Provides input and support the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance
• Reviews Supplier/Subcontractor/Certification Dossiers
• Provides performance data as requested for reporting purposes
Education:
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience:
Min. 5yrs. Certification experience with Engineering and/or inspection background
Professional Training:
Has a broad knowledge of railway construction and inspection techniques, Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and standards
Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of risk, safety, accreditation and other legislation with their implications on the organization
