Role Overview: Provide overall project management and direction on a large multi-million dollar Design-Build project located at Al Udeid Air Force Base, Qatar. Responsible for the management of all Client requirements, project deliverables, and project quality, schedule, and cost. This position will involve assignment to Qatar.
Key Responsibilities :To support the Lead Engineer, and to work with the Structural Team in delivering the Engineering Design meeting AMEC Black Cat and Client criteria for Technical Design Quality, Technical Safety and within allocated timescale and budget.The work involves conceptual and detail design for offshore Brownfield projects, marine structures (Jackets) analysis and design and structural integrity assessments in a developing organisation.To support the Structural Team to deliver to Clients needs, working safely and accurately.To actively take part in and support the career development of the teams graduates and other technical design personnel.Preparation of Structural design including front end, detail design and close out deliverables, as directed by the Lead Engineer.To carry out structural analysis and integrity assessments using industry recognised software applications including SACS and STAAD III.Review and guidance of Structural designs consistent with AMEC standards and industry practices.To work with the Engineering Team in providing safe designs.To support the development of the structural team. Competent technically in discipline.Knowledge of Intergraph SmartPlant 3D CAD system is preferable. Good communication skills and able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Chartered Engineer preferred.SACS/ SESAM Software.Spectral Fatigue Analysis.Inplace & Dynamic Analysis.Conceptual Design/ Detailed Design
