About Your Job:
As a Senior Flight Operations Aircraft Project Engineer you will be working closely with Vice President Flight Operations Technical (VP FOT) on all current and future aircrafts and on all projects requiring continuous integration with aircraft and engine manufacturer and aviation suppliers. This will include administrate and supervise all aircraft operations related in-service aircraft and engines guarantees, commitments and related agreements.
This position entails enhancement of new systems developed by aircraft manufactures and systems vendors with emphasis on efficiency in aircraft performance and support the various related meetings when required. You will be expected to provide full support to VP FOT with his constant coordination with various aircraft and engine manufacturers in relation to new aircrafts development programs to ensure Qatar Airways mission requirements are completely met.
As a member of management team you will also be expected to manage on-the-day operational performance to ensure a high standard of service delivery is maintained and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the department. Key elements of this role also include development and management of the team to reach their potential, including creating succession plans to allow business continuity and to ensure the highest standards relating to Health and safety are followed.
About You:
To be successful in this role you must have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Engineering in Aeronautical / Aerospace / Mechanical or alternatively Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years job-related experience preferably with an aircraft or engine manufacturer. You will require proven knowledge of Project Management and Aircraft related trainings and candidates with Type Rating on one a Fly by Wire Aircraft will be an added advantage.
You should also be professionally equipped with Aircraft systems, operations and performance with excellent IT skills. We need you to be able to work under pressure in a dynamic working environment, perform to tight deadlines and work on multiple projects effectively. You will be working in a multi-cultural environment and need to be able to delegate work, set clear direction for your team and manage workflow of both internal and external processes.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, with highly developed planning and problem solving skills and experience in project management and training staff is very much needed. Your account management, leadership and relationship building skills are crucial to excel in this role.
