Senior Engineer Production Planning ( Water)
Description:
The role holder is responsible for effectively performing and managing all planning activities pertaining to water production in order to meet the water demand requirements. This will entail development of an efficient production schedule in liaison with relevant technical teams, implementation plan for approved capacity plans and development of plan pertaining to availability of resources as per schedule.
Provides necessary assistance to Head of Forecasting and Production Planning in all matters pertaining to production planning to ensure achievement of electricity/water production objectives
Liaises with Senior Engineer-Forecasting (Water) to analyse the demand/supply analysis and use it as an input to develop electricity/water production plans
Assists in preparation of electricity production capacity plans, by analysing various elements of capacity planning including existing demand, potential demand and system and network capacity
Liaises with Water Projects Department to collate all requirements pertaining to project execution
Liaises with relevant stakeholders from Water Projects Department in order to develop a schedule for project execution to ensure achievement of annual targets to meet the forecasted electricity/water demand
Ensures the plan is flexible to accommodate any mid-year course corrections in schedule due to unforeseen circumstances
Ensures effective implementation of all approved production capacity plans, in order to meet current and future demands, in compliance with Kahramaa’s set policies and strategies
Develops relevant reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual etc.) required for analysis in order to track progress against established schedule
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9001 certification
Carries out and ensures compliance of all activities within the Forecasting and Production Planning Section are in line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or relevant Engineering degree, post-graduate certification / degree preferred
More than 10 years of experience in Production Planning and leadership responsibility in a large organization with 4+ years of supervisory experience preferably in a large utility company
