SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC is always seeking talented individuals to join its teams.
We currently have a few opportunities within Qatar for a:
LEAD MECHANICAL ENGINEER
This position is a unique opportunity to ensure that the mechanical works during design and construction meet the client and stakeholder requirements. You should have the ability and skills to monitor the work of the consultants and constrictors to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and regulations.
Your main duties will be:
Expertise in detail front engineering, detail engineering design, construction and commissioning of Mechanical equipment’s e.g. Port cranes, STS cranes, RTG cranes, Mobile cranes, Fork lifts, HVAC systems for buildings, District cooling systems… etc.
Responsible for supervision of all areas of construction work with respect to mechanical works, utilities and general facilities of the project, including but not limited to fire water and foam, systems, power area and street lighting, potable water, drainage, Cranes, HVAC and equipment.
Perform technical compliance reviews of mechanical design documentation produced by consultants and recommends to relevant management for approval
Make recommendations on the mechanical design based on the review of the drawings, specifications and design information. Assist the project team in review/approval for the documents such as equipment /manpower mobilization programme, construction programme, shop drawings, work method statement, etc. submitted by contractors and consultants
Ideally you will have graduated in Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum experience of 15 years specialized work experience and be a chartered member of an Engineering Institution.. You will be a team player and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
You are fluent in English, and fluency in Arabic would be an advantage.

Work Cycle 5.5 days a week
You must have:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 25 years experience in:
Project Management; Construction; Civil; Mechanical; and/or Marine, depending on your position of application.
