Technical Translator
Job Purpose:
-To translate and interpret Arabic into English, and vice versa while meeting deadline for delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-With in-depth knowledge of the English language, performs translation of written text from Arabic into English (and vice versa) in various business settings.
-Translates a variety of material, particularly formal legal, technological and engineering documentation, from foreign Arabic to English and vice versa, with attention to fact and nuance, so that the intent and tone of the original meaning is preserved.
-Edits, standardizes, proofreads, revises and finalizes translated material prepared by other employees and contractors.
-Organizes translated material and finalize translation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
-Prepares project reports and documentations.
-Researches legal, technical and scientific phraseology pertinent to the assigned projects.
-Consults with experts in specialist areas; retain and develop specialist knowledge on specialist areas of translation.
-Creates writing instructions, reference and maintenance manuals for the translation service team.
-Prepares project proposals, training materials, technical reports, online documentation and help systems for assigned projects.
Skills
-Requires to have an excellent background in technical translation and technical writing, especially in legal and engineering settings.

-English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, grammar, and history.
