Your Role
BESIX Group is the largest Belgian group, operating in and outside Europe in the construction of buildings, infrastructure, environmental projects and roads. BESIX/Six Construct is also active in the production of raw materials, facility management, real estate development and concessions.
For the reinforcement and strengthening of our Site Management Teams on our international projects in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Equatorial Guinea, Azerbaijan, etc. we are looking for Technical Managers.
You will be responsible for the coordination between the Technical Office and “the site”, meaning Construction Managers, Subcontractors, etc.
You will coordinate and manage all specific tasks in the Technical Office:
Review all drawings and specifications
Structural design review and issue shop drawings of:
Earthworks
Foundations
Concrete Works
Steel Structures
Methods General Phasing:
Selection of methods of construction & systems
Rotation of systems
Site logistics
Selection of equipment
Handling of materials & systems
Manage storage, offices and warehouses
BIM modeling coordination
Architectural review
MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) design
Cladding and curtain walls
Finishing and fit-out works
Other specific trades are applicable (related to the type of project)
Coordination with HSE & Quality department
Manage, submit and get approval on all submittals:
Shop drawings
Method statements
Approvals of materials
Coordinate all planning issues
Review
Updates
Monthly reporting
Prepare local purchases and coordinate with the purchase department.
Organize distribution of documents and arrange reporting to all relevant parties involved:
Between subsections and trades for coordination
To the site for execution
To the management for reporting
To the clients and consultants for approval, coordination, controls and monthly reporting

Your Profile
You have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 15 years of relevant working experience of which 5 as a Technical Manager;
You have worked on complex building works before (high rise towers, shopping malls, hospitals, etc);
You identify with our core competencies by possessing an entrepreneurial mind, showing flexibility, being innovative and result-oriented while promoting teamwork;
You equally possess excellent communication skills, an analytical mind and you are client focused;
You are fluent in English (speech and writing). Additional languages such as French, Dutch, Russian and Arabic are an asset;
You are willing to work on an EXPAT contract in the Gulf Region, North Africa or Central Asia;
