Role Overview:
Provide overall construction management and subcontractor management at a large multi-million dollar Design-Build project located in Saudi Arabia. Responsible for the management of all construction related requirements, project deliverables, and project quality, schedule, and cost. This position will involve long-term assignment to Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities :Must have a solid understanding of design-build project delivery.Must maintain a physical presence at the site at all times and is responsible for all construction and related activities at the site.Communicate effectively with DoD clients and multi-cultural staff and subcontractorsInterface through the Project Manager with Home Office support, program and sector management.Develop coordination plans, 3 week look ahead schedules and work plans.Willing to take an assignment in Saudi Arabia with periodic trips back to country of residence.
Role Requirements :Must have a minimum of 10 Years experience as a Superintendent / Construction Manager working on construction projects. Design/Build experience is a must. International experience specifically in the Middle East or Southwest Asia is a plus.Must have experience within the last 5 years managing project for USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC or other DOD construction entities.A degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture or equivalent is a plus.Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and leadership skills.Must be able to demonstrate excellent management and leadership skills managing international subcontracting firms.
Must have strong written and spoken communication skills (English) required, Arabic language skills a plus.
