DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage the project team to deliver the project
Be the focal point for all the dealings with the Client, Engineer and the Subcontractors
Understand the project scope, specifications and all third parties’ requirements
Develop the project programme
Identify and recruit the required staff and resources (labour & plant) to deliver the programme
Identify the required subcontractors and suppliers and ensure that they are appointed in line with the programme requirements
Ensure that the required plant and materials are ordered and delivered in line with the programme requirements
Ensure that all the required submittals and shop drawings are identified, prepared and submitted to the Engineer for review and approval
Follow up the review and approval of the submittals and secure the Engineer’s approval
Advise the Client / Client Representative of any changes to the scope, drawings and specifications and their impact (cost and time) on the project
Set up a safe system of work on site
Set up a quality system on site to deliver the required quality
Monitor the project progress continuously and take corrective actions where necessary
Set up a system for testing, commissioning and handover of the project
SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Minimum 12 years professional experience in Construction Industry with about 5 years in a Project Engineer / Supervisory position.Must have experience of working for contractors.Good communication skills. Good command of English language (speaking, reading and writing)
Must have knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment Regulations and requirements.
Must be Computer literate (MS Office) and knowledgeable of Microsoft Projects and Auto CAD is an advantage.
GCC experience is a great advantage.
University Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Certificates as appropriateGCC experience is a great advantage.
