Job Description :

Raise and place purchase orders for various materials either through tenders or established    policies and procedures and negotiate with vendors for improved pricing, product quality, and delivery.
Reduce cost through negotiations and identification of low cost vendors without compensating on quality
Sourcing suitable suppliers for capital goods, services and project material, obtaining        quotations and analyzing them in conjunction with end user departments.
To provide solutions to enable faster, smoother and more economical ordering options.
Liaise closely with all “end user” departments to ensure that product specifications meet the project requirements, including warranties, certification etc.
Perform accurate completion of all documents relating to each Purchase Order.
Continually monitor status of all orders to ensure materials are delivered according to the          project schedules.
Maintain accurate procurement records and collate information for weekly review by P&L Manager.
Update and maintain supplier’s catalogue library and portfolios.
Seek new vendors in line with projects quality/price requirements.
Authorization of bills and timely payout to vendors
Marine experience desirable.
At least 5 years purchasing experience.
Computer literate.
Excellent command of English (reading, writing and spoken)
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Analytical and problem solving skills.    
Experience with ERP systems.
Good local market knowledge and existing contacts.
Gulf experience, preferable Qatar.
