IN Application Specialist - VOD0006KP
Role purpose:
• Design, implement and configure new products & services different Express Releases on Alcatel-Lucent Surepay system to ensure reaching the required business needs.
• Support UAT team, and business product managers throughout testing phases (UAT, and PVT) of the XRs
• Support deployment including writing deployment guides, raising RFCs
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to design & implement capability enhancements
• Take architectural decisions for design activities & write high level design documents for new projects
• Work closely with vendors & business stakeholders
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Delivering required business eXpress Releases according to schedule and with quality meeting Vodafone’s standards
• Prepare all the needed RFCs and Change requests for Service Management according to the SLA
• Attend design activities for new projects and update existing design documents
• Ensure all documentation is complete and following the quality standards
• Highlights any risk or issue that may affect current eXpress Release.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• 4 + years’ experience in Surepay product & solution development in a Telco or at a technology vendor with a telecommunication focus
• Deep understanding of Surepay & eSM architecture is required
• Hands on experience on Surepay configuration
• Working under pressure & under rapid timescales
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Technical degree or equivalent
• Software development background
• Database development background
• Linux and Sun Solaris OS knowledge
• OSS knowledge is a must
• BSS knowledge is a plus
• Shell scripting knowledge is a plus
