Utility Engineer - Long Distance - (1500007H)
Job Purpose:
To undertake technical reviews and coordinate with various stakeholders to identify utility interface issues for its timely identification and to record and report information / critical issues for proposing alternatives for resolution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Undertakes technical review s of utility submittals made by the consultants to highlight discrepancies noticed as per authority standards
• Monitors progress of utilities availabilities and liaises with relevant consultants and/or authorities to ensure meeting the stakeholder’s requirements.
• Prepares minutes of meeting and/or reviews minutes prepared by consultants.
• Reviews RFIs and interacts with consultants to seek clarifications.
• Drafts formal responses to RFI and other related correspondence.
• Drafts and reviews comments on NOC s regarding utility interface.
• Maintains proper records of technical reviews and comments received from stakeholders and follow up on them.
Education:
• Bachelor‘s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
Experience:
• Minimum 8 Years’ experience as interface coordinator or utility designer
Professional Training:
AutoCAD or other design software.
Skills:
• Expert level written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of design codes and local standards for Utility works
• Excellent oral and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
