About your Job:
In this role, you will be responsible for Infrastructure Design validation, Capacity Management, Availability Monitoring, IT Service Continuity and Supplier Management. You will be managing and providing support for all relevant technology architecture and design related requirements (including costs), project support, technical support and Network auditing and Administration activities. Further job accountabilities include being responsible for providing necessary support for Network & Security technology environment to the support team, so as to minimize negative impact to the business. You will also be providing necessary statistics to the management and purchase department in revising the supplier contracts and updates on the licensing requirements
You will be supervising Worldwide WAN connectivity to QR Outstations, Class of Service implementations, expanding voice traffic etc. and manage the Service Improvements, design validation, maintenance and documentation of all the technology products. You will be responsible for ensuring all security and other operating system patches, are promptly identified. You will be in charge of managing the technical expertise within Outstation – Service Support, motivating and working across the Regional IT Outstations team for achieving business as well as individual goals.
About You::
You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with minimum 10 years of job-related experience in which 5+ years of experience should be in designing and Implementing Network for a Corporate having worldwide offices. You should have a working knowledge of SITA Network ( IPVPN, APH, Express, IP etc.), ISP, on Cisco products, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Routers etc. and experience of migrating IT services across to new Network Solutions. The candidate should be Cisco Certified Network Professional or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert or should possess equivalent certification from other networking product vendors.
You will be expected to continually assess technology adequacy for the above technology platforms and induct new technology, keeping in mind industry leadership, stability, cost of acquisition and support and cost of replacement. The candidate must guard QR against any technology obsolescence on the above. You will be responsible for capacity management of all relevant Network Technology; ensuring cost of deployment is optimized at all times taking into account vendor provided solutions. Solving problems for all application/service performance issues ensuring that any performance degradation is speedily resolved and permanent steps are put in place to prevent recurrence.
