Position Title: Teacher
Business Division:Dukhan English School
Primary Purpose of the Job:To teach to the standards set for qualified teachers’ status.To ensure high standards of achievement for pupils.To develop and prepare curriculum materials to enhance pupil learning.To provide diagnostic assessment which ensures pupil progression.To work with the teaching team in developing teaching courses and providing appropriate resources.To organize examination entries, where appropriate.To build up appropriate teaching materials.To maintain assessment and record keeping systems.To contribute to after school activities or the community class program.To liaise with the Head of Subject, Year Leader or Head of Key Stage about developments in the programs of study and suitable INSET opportunities, where appropriate.
Education:University graduate and qualified teacher status.
Experience & Skills:Experience appropriate to length of service.Expertise in the teaching of the subject; Cope securely with subject - related questions which pupils raise; Know, for their specialist subject(s), pupils' most common misconceptions and mistakes.
