Primary Purpose of the Job:
- This challenging position calls for an experienced professional with strong experience in SAP Net Weaver Portal administration and development, who can establish business and technical objectives, design work-plans, and manage and implement web portal application projects.
- The candidate will work closely with other technical staff members, including Web Dynpro Java/ABAP and J2EE developers, basis, network and infrastructure teams, etc. as well as with project managers, to ensure successful project completion.
- The candidate must possess excellent awareness of current trends in portal administration.
Education:
- Candidates should possess, as a minimum, a Bachelors Degree in an appropriate discipline, which may include Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Systems Engineer position requires a minimum of 6 years experience in relevant business and technology areas.
Experience & Skills:
- Candidate must be highly proficient in:
- NWDI Administration
- Portal technical architecture and infrastructure
- SAP NetWeaver Portal configuration and administration
- SAP NetWeaver Knowledge Management
- User management and security including integration with external solutions
- SAP NetWeaver CE/BPM (preferably 7.3+)
- Federated Portal concepts and the ability to design and implement FP solutions’architecture
- SAP NetWeaver Portal migrations preferably from 7.0 to 7.3+
- Design and development of Portal applications with experience of technologies such as Web
- Dynpro Java, PDK/HTMLB, XML Forms, JSP, AJAX
- External facing portal
- Familiarity with Oracle database tools and SAP ECC would be beneficial
- Excellent analytical problem solving skills - ability to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions.
