Primary Purpose of the Job:
The Senior Systems Engineer role is to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the leT Infrastructure that supports QP's business operations by managing a vulnerability management process and offering incident response services.
The role also includes responsibility for applying an appropriate level of security that doesn't impact the continuity of business operations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering field or Management Information Systems
CISSP or other relevant information security certification
Experience & Skills:
9 or more years of demonstrable experience in IT of which minimal 3 years of experience in information security
Strong technical capability with information security background
Profound knowledge of information security technology and methodology including ISO 27001 , Operating system and web server security, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, firewalls, encryption, PKI, UNIX and Windows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and influencing skills
Excellent people management skills
Proven and successfully demonstrated project management skills
Effective problem solver with strong analytic skills
Knowledge of QP business practices and procedures
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
Demonstrates a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
