About the Role :
- A prominent International School in Doha is looking for a female Principal who has a minimum of Five (05) Years of experience as a Principal having British Curriculum (Cambridge). The incumbent should be a British National having University Degree preferably Education & should be a Native English speaker.
- Commit time and leadership for the successful implementation of schools strategies. As the School Principal, you will provide visionary direction and demonstrate exemplary leadership skills in the recruitment and development of faculty, the implementation of a superior curriculum, and the provision of effective communication with all the school’s constituents. You will ensure the social well-being and academic growth of all children.
Salient responsibilities :
- Plan and to develop division-specific actions for our strategic priorities .
- Ensure that all teachers and support staff have a clear understanding of their performance expectations (e.g., job descriptions and faculty handbook) and to assist faculty towards becoming master teachers.
- Willingly mentor and coach all faculty as well as encouraging their professional growth and career advancement.
- Demonstrate role-model traits that enable others to recognize the principal as an instructional leader.
- Instill a sense of common purpose and common pursuit toward consensus goals with regards to the decision-making process.
- Assume the responsibility for sound financial management including accurate program budget planning and fiscal accountability.
- Willingly take on all responsibility for the “mechanics” of the assignment; activities such as building a master class schedule, accurate record keeping, and staffing allocations.
- Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the institutes / School’s Core Values.
- Ensure that the institutes /School’s policies, procedures and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
- Model and encourage institutes /School’s Culture of Kindness and to perpetuate the school’s mission and values.
- Perform other activities as might be required for the general welfare of the school and/or as requested by the Superintendent/CEO.
The ideal applicant for this role will have :
- A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Leadership and/or Administration (preferred).
- Education and Administration certificates.
- Proven record as a Principal or an instructional leader with a deep understanding of teaching and learning in the Middle School (minimum 5 years preferred).
- Teaching and administration experience, including significant experience with Middle School aged children (minimum 5 years preferred).
- Experience with the successful implementation of an enriched, standards-based British curriculum.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively
- Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to the general welfare of the total school program.
- Positive and professional disposition supportive to the School & the organization.
- Candidates who are present in Doha Qatar with the NOC to transfer the Visa will be highly recommended / preferred.
