FIBER OPTIC TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
Performs fiber optic splicing, cleaving, assembly and testing of cables, termination of fiber LC, SC and other related connectors
Assembles and aligns optical, mechanical, and electrical components into subassemblies
Develops splicing diagrams and designs to facilitate network architecture
Uses fiber optic components and sub systems, including optical/RF amplifiers, transmitters, receivers, modulators, RF test and measurements
Performs high precision optical alignment, fiber optic test equipment, data analysis, general optical testing and characterization required
Maintain fiber asset inventory and splicing record
Recommend process improvements in production methods, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Communication, IT.
Should be certified as Fiber Optic Technician.Technical expertise with minimum 3+ years in CCTV System installation in large scale projects.
