Key Responsibilities :Provide leadership in and manage all aspects of safety & health at multiple construction projects, ensuring regulatory compliance with OSHA, USACE, and host nation H&S requirements by AMEC employees and subcontractors.Work with various types of subcontractors: including host nations, third counties, and Western workforce, providing occupational safety & health leadership, safety awareness, special safety training, and promoting AMEC “Beyond Zero” safety culture.
Prepare Accident Prevention Plans (APP), Site-Specific Health & Safety Plans (HASP), and all necessary documentation required by AMEC, OSHA, USACE, or host nation regulations, including but not limited by Respiratory Protection Plans, Hazard Communication Programs, Lead Abatement Plans, Asbestos Abatement Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, Critical Lift Plans, etc.Prepare, post, and communicate activity hazard analyses (AHAs), and monitor that all personnel follows the AHAs.Conduct regular safety inspections/audits and achieve/document corrective actions.Conduct safety meetings and provide awareness level safety training on basic construction safety topics.Conduct accident investigations and prepare reporting in accordance with the Client and AMEC requirements, maintain OSHA 300 logs or equivalents.Ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, are using appropriate personal protective equipment.Actively engage with AMEC Safety & Health Management team.Ensure all regulatory and awareness safety postings and signage are in compliance and current.

Role Requirements: Working knowledge of Construction Safety Standards, including 29 CFR 1926 and USACE EM 385-1-1.5 years construction safety experience (at least 3 years at Federal/DoD Projects); must have proven experience with Fall Protection (including elevated platforms), Scaffolding, Steel Erection, Excavation, Cranes.30 hour OSHA Construction Safety certification or 30 hrs training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30 hr construction safety course. 40 Hour HAZWOPER training a plus.First Aid/CPR certificate a plus
