BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER-INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS (ITS)
The Role :
The Traffic Tech Group (Middle East / Gulf) is currently seeking an ITS Business Development Manager for our Gulf Region Operations. The ideal applicant must demonstrate technical professional competency in ITS and traffic engineering technology as it relates to the planning, engineering, design, project delivery and operational needs of ITS systems. The applicant must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of advanced freeway and urban traffic control systems preferably with experience in design-build delivery method.The chosen applicant must apply broad knowledge of leading-edge ITS and telecommunications technologies for the planning, engineering, system integration, project delivery and operation of systems. The successful applicant will be mainly responsible for business development and professional staff management.
Specific Responsibilities :
Responsible for business development activities in the ITS field.
Develop effective relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers.
Work collaboratively with colleagues from the different departments of the company.
Prepare technical and financial proposals for ITS projects.
Deliver high quality innovative solutions.
Undertake tasks to program and budget.
Collaborate in the design and development of ITS concepts, including requirements analysis, Technology review and selection; and development and communication of operational concepts, and specifications development.
Write reports, delivers presentations, communicates concepts and deliverables to clients.
Preferred Education/Experience :
Applicants should have university degree in relevant engineering field with a minimum of 8 years of documented experience in delivering large ITS projects.
Any Equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
In-depth knowledge of all relevant subsystems and technologies is crucial including but not limited to; fiber optic & wireless communications, traffic surveillance equipment, vehicle detection devices, dynamic message signs (DMS), weather stations, ITS software platforms and control room equipment.
Professional attitude and exceptional communication skills in order to develop high-quality written, verbal, and graphical deliverables in the form of progress reports, operational concepts, technology reviews, designs, specifications, presentations, and proposals.
Flexibility & willingness to travel.
High level of personal initiative and motivation.
