Al Wakrah Municipality's health control section has issued 18 violations to various food facilities within the municipality, collecting QR135,000 worth of fines from the 307 field inspections conducted last month.
Authorities also destroyed 315kg of foodstuff that was not fit for consumption.
The agency also took action to address 11 related complaints received within the same period.
Also, 24 shopkeepers signed affidavits to remove the substandard products in their shops.
