Vodafone Qatar has announced the prize winners of its Sawa digital engagement competition during the holy month of Ramadan.
The mega winner of the QR25,000 grand cash prize was Abdul Shakoor, with the highest total points overall. The top three winners each week received cash prizes of QR5,000, QR3,000 and QR2,000 respectively: Week one: Abdelhamed Elsayed, Noora Hisham and Reymond Carlet Paye; Week two: Ayman Mohamed, Rumesasulthana Shaik and Mohamed Sabir Ali; Week three: Ismail bin Salam, Mohamed Naji Abdullah al-Harazi and Waleed Shady.
Week four: Mahmoud Helmi Azab Fahim, Naseer Moideen and Ahmed Hassaan Mohamed Seas al-Nasr.
More than 175,000 people enjoyed a host of entertainment and activities, trivia quizzes and games on the Vodafone Sawa platform, which was launched at the beginning of Ramadan to encourage the public to be part of its charitable giving campaign.
Congratulating the winners, Vodafone Qatar said: “We received a wonderful response to our Sawa engagement campaign and we truly thank everyone who participated in this unique digital activity. We especially congratulate our winners who made a tremendous effort to be part of our giving to the three charity initiatives.”
The Sawa initiative was organised by Vodafone Qatar as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility programme. Vodafone Qatar made donations totalling QR370,000, which benefited Qatar Charity, Qatar Red Crescent Society and Education Above All.
