The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a traffic diversion on part of Zekreet Street in Al Kharaitiyat area in the direction towards Doha from March 15 for six months.
During the diversion, traffic will be shifted to the opposite lanes and converted from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction.
The diversion, to be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is to enable upgrading works on Zekreet Street as part of Roads and Infrastructure in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa Project - Package 4.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary diversion and requested road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
