The General Directorate of Traffic has opened an office at Hamad International Airport (HIA) as part of its plans to expand its services in various areas of the country to facilitate citizens and residents. The office, which currently works in the mornings, provides various services to the public, such as driving licence and vehicle registration, payment of traffic fines, renewal of driving licence and other related services. Capt Ali Morshed al-Nuaimi, head of the External Services Department at the General Directorate of Traffic, said that the office serves the airport staff, passengers and other members of the public. He explained that residents who have been booked for traffic violations and whose term of residence has expired in the country, can pay the fines at the officebefore departure, in order to avoid any delay.
