Doha: It rained in many places in Qatar since afternoon today, leaving atmosphere wet and the weather bit more cold.
Department of Meteorology said it is “monitoring scattered rains in different regions with concentration in the southeast and north to south” in an evening tweet.
In its daily weather report, the department said until 6am on Friday weather will be will be slightly dusty at times and partly cloudy with chance of scattered rain which can be thundery at times.
Weather will be cold by night and thundery rain is expected at some areas.
Offshore, it will be cloudy to partly cloudy, later with scattered rain which may be thundery at first, the report added, warning of strong wind with high sea and thundery rain.
Wind inshore will be northwesterly at a speed of 06 to 16 knot, reaching to 25 knot at places during thundery rain.
Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 14 to 24 knot, gusting to 32 knot at times.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 or 3 kilometer or less at places at times.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 4 to 8 feet, rises to 12 feet at times.
