Doha, Qatar: The much-anticipated Qatar Drift Championship for the 2023/2024 season is set to commence today under the esteemed patronage of H E Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Racing Club (QRC). This thrilling event marks the start of an action-packed motorsport season, with eager participants gearing up for an intense competition in the heart of Doha.

The championship's first round, scheduled for today, promises an evening filled with high-octane action as Qatar's talented drifters showcase their skills in a series of exhilarating drift battles. The event unfolds at the Qatar Racing Club and features rigorous technical inspections, practice sessions, and qualifying trials, setting the stage for a showdown that is bound to electrify spectators.

Following the qualifying trials today, participants will have another opportunity to display their skills during a second session tomorrow. Standout performances during these trials will determine the matchups for the tandem competitions, scheduled to take place at 8:00 PM tomorrow. These thrilling duels will culminate in the crowning of the top three winners, marking the grand finale of this adrenaline-packed event.

The 2023-2024 Qatar Drift Championship season comprises five thrilling rounds. Following the inaugural round, the competition will continue on November 23 and 24. The remaining rounds will be held in February and March 2024.
