Yara & Ibrahim Dashti live in Qatar

As part of the Qatar Live festival, popular Arab musicians Yara and Ibrahim Dashti will perform live on December 4. Tickets are priced at QR 395 and QR 595 and are available on Virgin Tickets.

A note of caution before you book the tickets - all music shows restrict entry to kids below the age of 10. Doors for the concert open at 7 pm.

9th Katara Traditional Dhow Festival

The ninth edition of the annual Katara Traditional Dhow Festival has kicked off with the participation of 11 countries offering diverse activities lined up for the next 13 days.

Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Turkey, India, Greece, Italy, Spain, Iran, and Zanzibar are taking part in the festival which celebrates maritime heritage through a variety of artistic and cultural events, competitions and shows.

Apart from the unique display of traditional dhows the festival will also feature an array of food options available in restaurants and cafes spread along the beach, workshops for the manufacture of heritage vessels and traditional boats, and a handicraft market with skilled craftsmen who will demonstrate how to make various products related to maritime and folk industries such as sail, fishing nets, rope and mats.

Visitors to the festival will find everything that fishermen and divers need. In addition, there will be a fish market which will showcase all kinds of fresh fish abundant in Qatar.

Omar Abdallat, Rahma Riad & Fahad Al Kubaisi Live in Qatar

QNTC and Qatar Airways are bringing world-class entertainment to the country during December.

As part of the Qatar Live festival, Rahma Riyad, Fahad Al Kubaisi and Omar Al Abdallat will perform live on December 7. Tickets for the show are priced QR 395 and QR 595 and are available on Virgin Tickets.

The Place I Call Home exhibition

As part of the Qatar British Festival 2019, ‘The Place I Call Home,’ is a contemporary photography exhibition which explores the idea of ‘home,’ related to the experiences of young people living in the region and the UK at a time of rapid change and social mobility.

Comedy night with Maz Jobrani

Maz Jobrani an Iranian American comedian who is part of the "Axis of Evil" comedy group, will perform in Qatar this weekend. Tickets for the December 6 show are already sold out, but tickets for the second show December 7 are available online. The show will begin at 8pm and the ticket price starts from QR150.

Elgar's Enigma Variations

UK violinist Savitri Grier will perform with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra famous pieces by Edward Elgar, Enigma Variations and Violin Concerto. The concert will be conducted by Elias Grandy.

This event is in partnership with the British Council and is part of the Qatar British Festival 2019.

The price for the tickets range between QR 125 – 1000.

Flower Festival 2019 at Souq Waqif

The second Flowers Festival include 21 local farms and nurseries. There are various types of flowers, seedlings, trees and other related supplies available for sale at the festival.

Fun with Science

Children will get an opportunity to learn about the different elements of science each session. This activity is inclusive of 3 sessions: Session 1: Let’s go Digital (5th December), Session 2: Under the sea (12th December) and Session 3: Kingdom of rocks (19th December).

The tickets cost QR 65 per session & QR 195 for all sessions and can be purchased online.

24th Arabian Gulf Cup Live

Visitors and shoppers of the mall will get a chance to see the football matches of the Gulf Cup live.

Hot Air Balloon Festival 2019 in Qatar

Qatar’s first ever Hot Air Balloon Festival will begin on Saturday and will have 33 hot air balloons from 13 countries.

Teams from the UK, Germany, Lithuania, USA, Italy, Croatia, Portugal, Ireland, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Qatar will be taking part in the 12-day event of majestic sights combined with live music, kids entertainment and culinary offerings.

The event will start with Tethered Flights from 2pm until sunset in which the balloons are inflated and tied to anchor points in the arena and flown up to 20 meters high, to be followed by the official launch. This will be followed by the Night Glow in which balloons are inflated and the flames in the balloons are in sync with music.

Entry to the festival is free to the public.

Panama and the Time: 500 Years Joining Worlds

Movie Screening

As part of the Ajyal film festival, ‘You will die’ by Amjad Abu Ala will be screened for the public. The tickets are fully booked online but can be purchased at the venue 45 minutes before start of the programme.
