Doha: Ashghal has announced a temporary closure on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange tunnel for five hours daily from midnight to 5am starting February 16 to February 29 to complete the intelligent transportation system, as part of Khalifa Avenue Project. On Fridays, February 21 and 28 it will be closed for 24 hours.
During this temporary closure, which is in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users coming from Gharrafat Al Rayyan and heading towards Doha will be directed to the signalized Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange.
Ashghal said that they will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and urged all road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
