Temperatures in Qatar to gradually rise until Friday; QMD issues marine warning

Doha: Temperature in the country is expected to gradually rise further until the weekend, ranging between a maximum of 32 to 45 degrees Celsius in various regions.

This weather condition, which began yesterday, will be more prominent from tomorrow until Friday as it coincides with the shift of winds towards the south. 

This is according to a forecast by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) published on social media yesterday. 

Meanwhile, the temperature for today, May 4, will range between 26 degrees Celsius to 39 degrees Celsius, as strong wind and high seas are expected offshore. 

Slight dust will also likely accompany the hot daytime weather conditions forecasted for today. 

QMD also issued a marine warning as sea heights range between 3-7 ft rising to 9 ft in some areas in the counry alongwith northwest winds. 

It also advised all citizens and residents to avoid all marine activities during this period including free swimming, boat trips, scuba diving, free diving, surfing, fishing tours, and windsurfing.
