The supreme education council have decided to recuit around 1600 teaching staff for the academic year 2015-2016 which begins in september. The plan was announced as a part of addressing the issues related to shortage of teaching staff / faculties in major schools in Qatar.
Recruitment will be happening from teachers of arabic nationalities like Palestine, Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia as per report from a local arabic daily. According to a reporting source at supreme education council the first phase of recruitment will hire 998 teachers froma variety of 20 subjects. The recruitment will happen as batches and first batch will have 182 vacancies for maths teachers , 182 for arabic teachers, 99 for science, 34 for biology, 11 for physics and 45 for social science. Tehre is 15 seats allotted for teachers to train children with special needs and 3 for speech therapy.
Supreme education has started with the mission and conducted interviews for displaced Palestinian teachers in Egypt and another interview was held in Jordan yesterday.
The HR director of Supreme Education Council Mr. Ibrahim Al Kuwari will be leading a team of interviewers in Jordanian recruitment nad also in Palestene for teachers from 20 specializations.
