Subsidised sheep for citizens in Ramadan

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced subsidised prices for sheep meat for citizens during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative was launched by the ministry as part of its commitment to ensure the availability of sheep meat for citizens during the holy month at reasonable prices. The ministry said it was agreed with Widam Food Company  to sell subsidised sheep to the citizens (two sheep for each citizen) at the following prices: Syrian sheep (40kg or up) at QR950, Iranian (35kg or up) QR650 and the local (30kg or up) QR1,050. The sale will start from Sunday, May 13 run until the end of Ramadan.
