Strong wind, high sea, relatively cold night after temperature rise

Doha: Weather inshore until 6am on Monday will see scattered to partly clouds, with a chance of light rain, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of strong wind, slightly dusty at some places at times. Night will be relatively cold by night.

Offshore, it will be scattered to partly clouds with chance of light scattered rain at times, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea at north area.

Wind inshore will be northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 08 to 18 knot reaching to 22 knot at places at times.

Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 10 to 20 knot, reaching to 25 knot at north area.

Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet surging to 4 feet at north area. Offshore, it will be 3 to 6 feet surging to 8 feet at north area.

Since Saturday, Southerly wind is affecting the country, causing a noticeable rise in temperature with maximums exceeding 30°C in some areas.

“Northwesterly fresh to strong wind expected to return from Sunday, reaching its peak from Monday until Wednesday, in association with a deepening high pressure system over the region. ” the department said in an earlier tweet.
