Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) issued a weather alert that the country is likely to be affected by fresh to strong Northwesterly wind during the day from Sunday, May 8, 2022, until the end of the week.
The weather bureau said that the wind speed will range between 12-22 KT and could exceed 30 KT at times causing blowing dust and low horizontal visibility to less than 2 km at places and could reach zero at times.
Sea waves offshore will range between 3-8 ft rising to 10 ft at places. Qatar Meteorology Department urged all to be careful during unstable weather.
They also said that light rain was observed in some northern and western regions of Qatar.
