Shura Council attends meeting of Arab parliamentary working group on technology, innovation

Rabat: The Shura Council is participating in the high-level parliamentary working group on technology, innovation and digital transformation of the Arab Parliament.

The meeting is held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, and will conclude today.

The Shura Council is represented by HE Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Mohannadi, Shura Council member, member of the group’s permanent office.

In his speech during the meeting, Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Mohannadi emphasized the meeting’s significance, being an opportunity to learn about the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco’s success in the fields of technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Moreover, His Excellency noted that it is an occasion for the exchange of opinions and expertise, in addition to strengthening cooperation amongst the relevant parties.

The meeting discussed artificial intelligence’s (AI) positive and negative effects, as well as AI’s impact on cyber security. The meeting also reviewed the recommendations issued by the group’s office meeting held in Amman in July 2022, in addition to reviewing the group’s strategy and setting the priorities agenda for the coming period.
