S'hail overseas visitors and participants urged to register through Ehteraz

Overseas visitors and participants of the upcoming S'hail - Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition have been requested to register on the Ehteraz website and apply through the pre-travel registration system before coming to Qatar, the organisers have said.

Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation had announced recently that it would host the fifth edition of S’hail from September 7-11 with the participation of 160 international companies representing 19 countries and in partnership with some national companies.

The event will take place amid the observance of precautionary and preventive measures against Covid-19 and its variants.

In a notice to visitors and participants from abroad, posted on social media yesterday, Katara said: "Dear visitors & participants of S'hail exhibition coming from overseas, we would like to inform you that you are requested to register on the Ehteraz website: www.Ehteraz.gov.qa"

Such individuals must apply through the pre-travel registration system for travellers coming to Qatar.

"Kindly ensure that all required documents are uploaded and provide the PCR test result, and the approval confirmation to facilitate the process of entry to the State of Qatar is limited to visitors who have completed the vaccine doses against Covid-19," it added.

The notice is in line with Qatar's travel and return policy, which makes it mandatory for visitors to pre-register through the Ehteraz portal.

Prof Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara and head of the organising committee of S’hail, said in a statement recently that preparations for the event were continuing well and the event would be distinctive due to the availability of additional space to host more participating companies in this year’s edition of the exhibition.

He noted that S’hail has become an international business and marketing platform, where the largest international companies in the field want to display their products such as latest weapons, hunting tools and accessories in the fields of camping, hunting and falconry.

He said applications for buying hunting weapons will be received through the Metrash2 app until August 30. Further, this year’s edition will enjoy international participation, including GCC countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Katara has specified the system for visitor entry at the venue through pre-registration and prior e-booking through the website of S’hail 2021.

Accordingly, entry to the exhibition venue will be allowed to people aged 12 years and above, who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, to guarantee the health and safety of all.
