A partly cloudy sky with scattered rain was noticed in northern areas, tweeted Qatar Meteorology Department today.
The rainy weather during coming days is expected to be accompanied with a significant drop in temperatures compared with the previous days, the department wrote on its social media.
In its weekend report, the department had predicted that there would be an atmospheric instability due to extension of low pressure over the region starting Sunday night (April 12) which will last until the end of next week.
During this time skies are expected to be cloudy with chance of rain if variable intensity which may be accompanied with thunder, wind and hail in some area.
The department urged all to be cautious, avoid marine activities and to follow updates through official channels as this time is known for quick weather fluctuations.
