Rise in temperature likely on Thursday: QMD

Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast a rise in temperature on Thursday. It stated that temperature rise is due to the change in wind direction to Southerly. This will cause the maximum temperature to rise between 25 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.

The rise in temperature will only last for a day as temperature is expected to dip on Friday due to Northwesterly wind.

Misty to foggy weather conditions will likely start tonight until Thursday morning. This weather condition will occur at night and early morning. QMD also said that the fog will continue in most areas on Wednesday and Thursday morning.

Due to the fog, horizontal visibility is expected to decrease below 2 kilometres and the lack of it at times.

QMD urged all citizens and residents to take extra precaution during this period.
