Registration open for two new Masterق€™s programmes from the University of Derby in Qatar

Al Rayyan International University College (ARIU), in partnership with the University of Derby in the UK, operating under the umbrella of the Culture, Education, Leisure and Sports cluster at Al Faisal Holding, will start offering two new Master’s programmes from the University of Derby in February.

The two new programmes – Master of Business Administration in Global Hospitality Management, and Master of Science in Tourism Management – will complement the university's current educational offerings and help the country's expansion of high-quality postgraduate education.

The programmes will also contribute to the development and growth of Qatar's tourism and hospitality industries and help the country’s efforts in the development of specialised education in strategically important sectors.

The programmes are licensed by the University of Derby and approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar. They are fully based on University of Derby’s curriculum, and upon successful graduation from the academic programmes, students will be awarded with Master’s degree from the University of Derby in the UK.

The Master's degrees will be offered in full-time and part time modes to facilitate working professionals who are interested in receiving a graduate degree. The duration of the full-time programme will be one year.

Dr Ivan Ninov, executive dean of ARIU with University of Derby, said: "Our institutional goals are fully aligned with the main goals of Qatar’s National Vision 2030, and our academic majors very distinctively address the core pillars of the Vision. A postgraduate degree from the University of Derby will open doors to an exciting future with varied career prospects and options.

“We are optimistic that by introducing the two new Master's programmes, we will be able to help working professionals further enhance their talents and enrich their careers”.
