Rain & lightning in Qatar; thunderstorms likely

There were rains in the whole day with vary varying intensity with Qatar Meteorology Department classifying them in the range of light to medium.

The department predicts more rains which may turn into thunderstorm at times.

Thunderstorms sometimes will accompany strong winds on the coast.

Till Monday morning weather will be cloudy.

The winds on the coast will be northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed ranging from 5 knots to 15 knots, up to 25 knots on some areas during thunderstorms.

Inshore, the winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed ranging from 8 knots to 18 knots, sometimes 28 knots with thunderstorms.

Horizontal visibility ranges between 4 and 8 km, and decreases to two km or less in some areas with thunderstorms.

The height of the wave on the coast to range between one foot and 3 feet, rises to 5 feet while offshore it will be 3 and 5 feet and may rise to 9 feet with thunderstorms.

The lowest expected temperature in Doha 22 degrees Celsius.
