Qatar University’s Research Support Office has successfully fulfilled the requirements of the ISO standard and earned the prestigious ISO 9001-2015 certification effective from March 2020.
The certification is in recognition of the commitment of research support management and staff to high quality and excellence in their services that meet customers and regulatory requirements. The certificate is issued based on satisfactory completion of several audits and ensuring that the research support office is in full compliance with the requirements of ISO standard and the statutory regulations of the country.
The stated scope of certification is, “Provision of support to Qatar University research community in preparation and submission of proposals, managing grants and enhancing the quality of research projects.”
ISO 9001-2015 is internationally recognised as the world’s leading standard that specifies requirements for an ideal Quality Management System (QMS) and has been implemented by over a million organisations globally, to become more efficient and to improve customer satisfaction.
Dr. Mohamed Hassan MA Al Salem (pictured), Director of Research Support at QU, said: “This achievement will help us in continuously improving the quality of our services.
