QU opens online applications for spring 2022 semester

Qatar University (QU) Admissions Department announced the opening of online application for the bachelors stage for spring semester 2022, for those who have met the minimum admission requirements for new, transferred students and students applying for a second bachelors degree.

This is effective from Oct 13 to Nov 2, through its official website. Acceptance decisions will be announced on December 13.

Director of the Admission Department at the university Lulwa al-Rubaie said that the college seats are available for admission according to the given percentages: 70% for the Faculties of Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Management and Economics, Law, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Education, and Health Sciences, while the required percentage for the college of pharmacy is 80%.

Al-Rubaie stressed that admission depends on the principle of competition between applicants, and that achieving the minimum requirements at the secondary level does not mean that the student is accepted on the first desire.

She added that students are accepted according to the capacity of each college separately, and that educational path at the secondary level will also be taken into consideration when applying to university.

Al-Rubaie added that submitting the admission application is done by filling out the electronic application on the official university website, and copy of the photo and valid Qatari ID card (and a copy of the passport for non-Qataris) must be uploaded through the electronic application for admission before the specified deadline.

Al-Rubaie also said that students from Qatari government and independent secondary schools starting from 2016 and after submitting the high school diploma are not required to submit a transcript of the secondary school certificate, as their results will be received from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Whereas, private schools and international schools, in addition to Qatari government and independent secondary school students for the year 2015 and before, will be required to bring the original high school diploma transcript certified and approved by the authorities in addition to copies of them to be matched and come to Qatar University before the application deadline.

As for applicants to apply for admission from students of other universities, they must bring the original university transcript certified and approved by the competent authorities in addition to copies of them to be matched and come to Qatar University before the application deadline. (QNA)
