QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, in partnership with Visa, revealed the first prepaid card designed exclusively with Laeeb, the official mascot for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. It is the first bank in Qatar to be using the mascot on its cards.
"The unique and very special edition of Laeeb prepaid card offers an exceptional payment experience, including contactless payment to customers and eCommerce to ensure secure and convenient purchases," the bank said in a statement.
In addition to supporting contactless solutions, the prepaid card can be topped up simply through QNB mobile or Internet banking.
The card was revealed in an event hosted by QNB as part of a staff gathering in celebration of Garangao night at Barahat Msheireb in Msheireb Downtown Doha. Various activities, including traditional games, for the staff and their families, were held on the occasion.
"This card, in partnership with Visa, was designed as the bank is committed to provide the customers with curated experience to fulfil their football passion for the upcoming tournament taking place for the first time ever in the region," the statement added.
