Qatar is participating in the International Scrap Art Festival taking place in the Turkish capital, Ankara, until June 12, under the title 'Scrap of Value'. It includes a workshop to create scrap art in front of the public with the participation of the best sculptors from Turkey, Qatar, Bahrain, Argentina, Italy, Japan, Russia, Nigeria, the US and Iran, reported local Arabic daily Arrayah.
Artist Ali Dasmal al-Kuwari, the participant from Qatar, described the event as an ideal opportunity to see different experiences brought by artists from different parts of the world. He stressed that such events are of great benefit to the development of fine arts with the possibility to present creative innovations.
One of the most prominent objectives of the exhibition is to display the culture of recycling from different countries and the concept of turning scrap into art.
