Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed the announcement of a new Lebanese government led by Najib Mikati, and wished the government well in carrying out its missions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement today, the State of Qatar's full support of the new government until it realizes the aspirations of the Lebanese people for development, progress, and prosperity.
The ministry renewed the State of Qatar's commitment to supporting the Lebanese people to advance security and stability in the country.
