Doha to Manila ( Philipines ) Qatar Airways QR 932 was rocked by severe turbulence on Saturday. The incident happened when there was only  30 minutes to land at international airport at Manila. It is reported that those who were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident doesnt have any serious injuries.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the pilot requested a priority landing due to the people on board suffering minor injuries.

The CAAP said that the passengers, who included three children, were affected when the aircraft ran into 'clean air turbulence' near the capital of the Philippines.

"Clear air turbulence is defined as turbulence which is not associated with cloud and therefore cannot be detected visually or by conventional weather radar," CAAP explained in a statement on Sunday.

The request for priority landing was received at 3:18 pm when the aircraft was 30 miles out of Manila.

The Doha-to-Manila flight landed safely at NAIA Terminal 1, CAAP added, saying passengers were treated immediately by the airport medical team.
