Qatar participates in Qatari-French Days events in Paris

Qatar has participated in the Qatari-French Days which are aimed at building and developing bridges of co-operation and relations between Qatar and France in higher education and scientific research through introducing systems, in addition to operationalising signed agreements in this field.

The Acting Undersecretary for Higher Education and the Director of Higher Education Institutional Affairs Dr Khalid Abdulla al-Ali and Head of the Department of Strategy for International Relations Programmes at the French Ministry of Higher Education, Jacome Nassar, gave two separate presentations on the higher education institutions and research centres in Qatar and France respectively, including prospects of co-operation.

The Qatari delegation also visited the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris and the SOLEIL Synchrotron research centre, one of the largest research centres in France specialising in studies of radiation horizons in all aspects of natural sciences, and discussed with its officials the feasibility of co-operation in areas of common interest.

The Qatari delegation included HE the Permanent Representative of Qatar to Unesco Dr Nasser bin Hamad al-Hanzab and a number of officials. (QNA)
