Doha: Security Committee for National Day Events announced the details about the National Day Parade at a press conference held today at the officers club in the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
Speaking at the conference, Brigadier Ali Khajim Al Adhbi, Chairman of the Security Committee for National Day Events and Director of the Security Department for Establishments and Authorities at the Ministry of Interior, said that the National Day Parade will start at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 18, at the Corniche and advised people, who want to attend the activities, to be present ahead of time. Corniche Road will be closed from 6am.
He also said that there will be 16 parking lots available for private cars, from where the public could use the designated means of transportation to reach and return from the parade area. It is also possible to use various Doha Metro stations to reach the gathering points and enter the events area.
He also urged the public wishing to attend the parade to take necessary safety measures in view of the weather conditions.
