Qatar National Day Parade 2019 held at Corniche (Videos)

Doha: Qatar National Day Parade began at sharp 9:30am at the Corniche. The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Father Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani are present to watch the QND parade along with many other dignitaries. 

Thousands of citizens and residents have gathered at the Corniche to witness the Parade as part of the Qatar National Day celebrations. All branches of Qatar’s Military and Civil Defence including Amiri Forces, Air Force, Army, different Police wings take part in the Parade.

The parade had aerial displays of various types of warplanes, combat helicopters, air transports, cargo aircraft, performing aircraft, armoured vehicles, tanks, various defence systems, police equipment, anti-terrorism equipment, military communications.

The parachute jumping was cancelled due to the weather conditions.

Later Amir greeted kids, who were singing the song “Allah ya omri Qatar” after the QND parade.

Amir also greeted the cheering crowd who were seen taking photographs of the Amir and waving Qatar national flag. A large number of expatriates were also present for the parade.

People were seen pouring in from early morning to get a nice spot to watch the parade. As this is the first QND parade after the opening of Doha Metro, reaching the venue was much easier for public as the Red Line stations were close to the parade venue.
