Qatar Museums organises new exhibitions that reflect the innovative power and heritage in the Middle East region, north Africa and south Asia.
The exhibitions are held under the title 'Sophia Al-Maria' which is the first large-scale, multi-part museum exhibition in the Middle East and combines various collection of media, including sculptures, videos and audio clips specially designed for this work. Taysir Batniji's exhibition is a reflective space dedicated to the work of its owner that contemplates Palestine. Qatar Contemporary Art is a collective display that includes the graduates of Fire Station alumni residency program. Other exhibitions are held in celebration of the Qatar-Middle East, north Africa and South Asia 2022 year of culture, an international cultural exchange initiative that aims to deepen understanding between countries and their peoples.
