Doha: On its latest weather update, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecasted chances of scattered rain from Saturday until the middle of next week.
In a statement on Twitter, QMD said that "clouds are expected to increase gradually from Thursday, July 15, until the middle of next week."
QMD also mentioned that this comes "with a chance of scattered rain from Saturday ranging mostly between light to moderate in intensity, may become thundery at times with strong winds."
Due to the strong winds forecasted, blowing dust and low visibility at time is also expected, especially on Sunday and Monday, July 18 and July 19.
The wind, inshore and offshore, is expected to blow northeasterly-southeasterly ranging between 8-18 KT gusting to 28 KT with thundery rain.
Due to this weather condition, QMD urged all citizens and residents to take extra precaution and to avoid all marine activities during this period.
